Having started riding at age 5, half-baiting, owning and competing, training seemed the obvious next step. Concentrating on Showjumping and Equitation as a junior, losing my horse and acquiring an unbacked youngster quickly changed my priorities. Having had some Dressage training in Spain I returned to South Africa to complete my SANEF modules 1-4 as the highest qualifying candidate in the Western Cape. I completed module 5 in Gauteng and will be completing my module 6 by the end of 2014. I have been blessed to have worked with some of South Africa's finest Equestrians and have been lucky enough to have been able to try most disciplines available.
